Topic Posting Guidelines

Here are some general guidelines for posting new topics to 12 Seahawks Street

1. Go with your gut. Sometimes you may wonder if your topic is insightful or relevant enough to post. You are the best judge. If you care about it, chances are that someone else will, too. People may disagree, but that's even better.

2. Personal messages are not a topic. That's what email and the "Shout Out" is for.

3. Keep it clean. This site was created and is maintained by amateurs. If we are ever going to establish any credibility in the Seahawks scene, and ever entertain the hope of interviewing players and coaches, we must have a decorum of class. Avoid foul language and references that disparage people for their race, religion, or ethnic origin. Write it like you would for the newspaper, only a little less formal.

4. Differing opinion is good. Arguments may get heated, and this is fine. Just don't get too personal. We all love the Seahawks here. Acknowledge that in others. Let it show.

5. Use the spell check. It's in the "Create Posts" form and it looks like this====> It's not perfect, but it helps.

6. Check out the "How to Blog" page by AlbaNY Hawker. A little bit of reading and effort can really spice up your posts.

7. Have fun. Don't take yourself too seriously. If you do this, it makes yourself and the whole site a lot more likeable.
